Flowers are lovely, aren’t they? Apart from their beautiful appearances, they are said to improve the overall quality of your life. They can reduce anxiety levels, reduce stress, and even inspire creative thinking. Flowers make a great gift for friends and loved ones which never fails to make them smile. I love flowers, especially roses, and upon receiving them, it always brightens up my mood! I am going to share four reasons why it’s beneficial to keep fresh flowers at home.

Some flowers such as marigolds act as natural pest repellants. Surrounding your home or garden with marigolds will repel insects from damaging other plants.

It is an undeniable fact that flowers can improve the smell of a room. However, there are flowering plants that can filter and clean the room too. According to studies, peace lilies and gerberas can remove toxins in the air and can promote better sleep as they give off a large amount of oxygen.

Flowers are usually used to decorate food. Not only are they used as food garnishes in gourmet cooking, but they are also edible as well. Edible flowers are lavender, dandelion, daylilies, and carnations. If you are growing flowers at your home, it can come in handy even when you are cooking or baking!

It is amazing to know how flowers can benefit us in many aspects. All you have to do is just have some flowers in a vase with little water and Voila!
